Even S3x workers, also known as "Ash@wo," in the cities of Kumasi and Accra have raised their charges to keep up with the inflation of products and services and to accommodate the country's economic crisis, leaving the economy in a terrible state.
These pleasure workers have made it clear that the costs of the clothing, cosmetics, and drugs they use to seduce men and protect themselves have increased, so it makes sense that their pricing would as well.
They also expressed their dissatisfaction with the rising transportation costs, which are becoming a source of pain for the majority of Ghanaians and are gradually emptying our wallets.
The representative for S3x workers at the Dichemso Plaza lamented in pidgin during a media interview that;
"Ghana make hot well well. The time na they take come Ghana na everything good but naw everything worse. Na food we dey chop and car wey dey take go see wana customers all increase high high".
She added that economic hardship is making it challenging for their consumers to use their services, and as a result they are recording low sales.
"Dey Men sef dey complain say money no dey. Some dey talk dey no pay dema Salary sef for some months now.
The way we dey here so, before in the morning we fit get three Men but naw we dey struggle to get one Man sef for the whole day"
Later, she urged with the government to act to alleviate the current economic difficulties because if their business fails, many marriages will also end suddenly because they are essential to keeping marriages together and relieving men's distress.
