Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu

The Bawku West District's infectious disease centre project is making steady development in Zebila, the district's seat.

The endeavor was a component of the government's reaction to Ghana's COVID-19. When finished, it is anticipated to advance infectious disease research and diagnosis in the area and northern Ghana.

The Upper East Region has never seen anything like it before. It would include a media block, an accommodation block, a major treatment block, and a block for administration.

The Upper East Region has never seen anything like it before. It would include a media block, an accommodation block, a major treatment block, and a block for administration.

This was revealed when the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, spoke at the Press Centre in Accra, the nation's capital, as part of the State of the Region Report series sponsored by the Ministry of Information.

Speaking on the Upper East Regional Hospital's expansion and equipment, Mr. Yakubu said, "In reality, you may have a medical holiday and come to the Upper East Region and treat yourself."

Additionally, all 8 of the government's Agenda 111 projects are still in progress.

The regional minister stated that "a good number of CHPS Compounds are being developed in all 15 districts in the region" as part of the government's initiatives to increase access to primary healthcare. Some of which we began when we took office, while others were inherited, finished, and put to use.
