Dr. John Krugu, is a Public Health Specialist and Consultant with a track record of success in intervention design, implementation research, and practical uses of behavioral and attitudinal change strategies.
John's background includes monitoring and evaluating large-scale initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on adolescent sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, WASH activities, gender-based violence, and young people's economic empowerment.
He has a PhD in Public Health and previously worked for a number of local and international organizations. He is a committed public health and human rights champion with extensive public policy advocacy experience at the local, national, and international levels, including at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
He's also the founder of the Youth Harvest
Foundation Ghana (YHFG), which may be accessed at http://www.yhfg.org/. His vision, leadership, and administration as a youth development advocate have elevated the YHFG to a nationally recognized development player in Ghana.

Political Career
Dr. John Krugu was appointed Deputy National Organiser of the NPP by the NPP in the year 2010. He carried out his responsibilities admirably, earning the respect of all and gaining many friends inside the NPP.
In 2004, the Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate served as the NPP's Upper East Regional Communications Officer, and since 2008, he has served as a Patron for the party in the Zebilla constituency.
Dr. Krugu was an active member of the NPP in the Zebilla constituency during the 2016 elections and prior to that. In the recent election, he worked relentlessly to ensure the NPP's win in the constituency at the Parliamentary level.
When the reporter contacted Dr. John Kingsley Krugu on the matter after seeing a hint on his Facebook page, he confirmed that some NPP supporters in the Zebilla constituency had approached him about running for the seat.
He also stated that he has yet to consult with the incumbent MP and constituency executives on the topic before responding to the multiple calls for him to run in the NPP's Parliamentary Primaries. He stated that he will inform the public of his choice as soon as possible.
