"I don't care if you choose to vote for the NDC." To Ghanaians, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo
According to President Akufo-Addo, comments made by Ghanaians regarding electing the opposition NDC to power in the upcoming elections don't upset him.
He claims that despite their audaciousness, he is unaffected and that he continues to be committed to keeping his commitments to Ghanaians.
Akufo-Addo responded to Ghanaians' opinions on Otec FM in Kumasi by saying that people might still choose to support the NDC in the upcoming election.
Ghanaians claimed they would be disappointed if you didn't fix their roads and that they would support the NDC in the upcoming elections as a result.
Akufo-Addo: I'm not scared by those threats. I realize they need me to help them out. But if you choose to support the NDC, that is your prerogative. There will be no coercion.
Indignant responses to the president's statement have been heard from many Ghanaians. They feel that by requesting their vote for the NDC if they so choose, Akufo-Addo has not shown them any respect.
