Chop Bar Operator detained in Nkurakan for stealing pregnant goats

The New Juaben District Police Command has detained a 37-year-old chop bar owner in the town of Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo Municipality for reportedly purchasing two stolen pregnant goats.

She is thought to have purchased them from some suspected goat burglars who frequently rob locals.

Police in Nkurakan detained Mary Yeboah, the suspect, who runs the "Sweet at Home" chop bar, but she was eventually turned over to the New Juaben Police Command for additional investigation.

She was forced to march through the streets carrying dead goats while being held captive by some of the locals to jeers and boos.

Emmanuel Narh, the town's dademankye (chief), claimed the accused is a known purchaser of goats that have been stolen for her chop bar meals.

According to Police they have started an inquiry to find and apprehend her fugitive accomplices.
