Prosper Dakora: ‘The Beast’ crowned Ghana’s Strongest champion for the first time, 2022.
The 26-year-old, known as the Beast, topped the competition, taking first place in each of the day's five taxing events to take home the trophy.
He outscored Appiah, commonly known as SWAT, by 100 points to defeat him. Godfred Akobila and Ebenezer Amos (Chilling) took third and fourth, respectively.
Dakora, who came in second place the previous year, was motivated to triumph this time around. He had a remarkable journey to the final, and his performance on Sunday left spectators speechless.
Dakora got things going well by taking first place in the Truck Pull competition. He and Bright Appiah were the only ones capable of towing the 9,000 kilogram vehicle. He finished eight successful flips in 1:32 during the challenging second event, the Giant Tire Flip.
Dakora also excelled in the Giant Power Stairs competition, taking first place. He was aware of his commanding lead at this point, yet he persisted. In the Aboboyaa Lift and Hold and Sack in a Pond competitions, Dakora won first place.
When he was named the winner, it wasn't a surprise. After coming in second on the previous two occasions, he was obviously relieved to win the championship.
A title belt, a new automobile, 8,000 Ghana cedis, 200 bags of cement, and three months of medical insurance were given to Dakora as rewards.
Appiah won 10,000 Ghana cedis and 150 bags of cement for placing second. Amos won 4,000 Ghana cedis and 50 bags of cement for placing third, while Akobila received 6,000 Ghana cedis and 100 bags of cement.
