KNUST And Nestlé Renew Partnership To Promote Activities Between Academics And Industry.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Nestlé Ghana Limited and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) administration to continue their existing partnership. The Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in the Council Chamber, aims to continue the current partnership to strengthen technical cooperation and build capacity in the fields of research development, education, and training, student academic excellence awards, student sponsorship, and knowledge dissemination on a non-commercial basis for mutual gain.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, welcomed the team from Nestlé and said that KNUST values its links with businesses like Nestlé because it is an academic institution that believes in cooperative collaborations. He continued by saying that the University's goal is to conduct pertinent research and propose solutions to the challenges facing the country's development. He believed that the collaboration will give the faculty of the engineering and science colleges the chance to get real-world and professional experience. This, in his opinion, would give them knowledge and abilities about the current trends in the sector.
