SPEAKER BAGBIN OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED ABOUT DEATH OF LAWYER JOHN NDEBUGRE; SAYS FORMER MP DESERVES STATE BURIAL

Hon. Cletus Apul Avoka, Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency in the Upper East Region, led a delegation to the Speaker, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, to officially inform him of the death of John Akparibo Ndebugri, a former MP for Zebilla and a lawyer.
Hon. Ndebugre served in the Fourth Parliament as a Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency on the People's National Convention (PNC) ticket. The late former MP was born on March 12, 1950, and passed away on May 6, 2018.
The Speaker thanked the delegation for officially informing the House, noting that the late Ndebugre was a patriot, a senior brother and a friend, as well as an accomplished politician and a well-known lawyer who had made significant contributions to the country's growth.

Speaker Bagbin also stated that the late Ndebugre deserved a proper state burial and directed Hon. Cletus Avoka to make a statement to that effect in the House. In these trying circumstances, he promised the family Parliament's assistance.
Mr. Bagin remembered the late Lawyer Ndebugri as a patriot, clever politician, and well-respected lawyer.
The public was informed of this in a statement issued by Parliament's Communication Directorate in Accra.
