THE ACTING PRINCIPAL OF THE BOLGATANGA MIDWIFERY COLLEGE IN THE UPPER EAST REGION WORRIES ABOUT TODAY'S NURSES NOT PLAY THEIR ROLE BUT RATHER BASE ON THE JOB SECURITY.

Mrs Amaliba Christian, Acting Principal of the Bolgatanga Midwifery College in the Upper East Region, has expressed concern about some nurses and midwives' attitudes toward the profession.
The Acting Principal, Mrs Amaliba Christian was interview by A1 radio In the Upper East Region.
According to her, the Nurse and the Midwife's their interest is about the Job assurance but they have no passion for the Profession or to play their role.
This students are coming to the Nursing Training College (NTC) because of the job they can required after the completion of the course.
She said that if you really have a desire or the passion for the work you have choosen, you will try your possible means to work it.
According to her, she said sometimes you will enter the various Stations (Wards) and see Nurses and Midwives busy with their handset ( Mobile Phones) and other matters without concentrating on the work or taking care of the Patient(s) they are supposed to attend to.
She said that, Discipline is the key to everything and if you don't discipline yourself where will you end.

She when further, by saying that, they have to do something about this, They policymakers should try and come out with certain routines that goes a long way to help everyone. Because initially things were not like this as compared to this time
If we all work together and collaborate as one, we will be able to help and restore the system to its former glory, which is our goal or target."
