Hon. John Kumah, said that it's a Criminal to reject MoMo payment.
The complain by the public that some of the business are refusing to do Mobile Money payment because of they will be taxed whenever they are to do transactions | Withdrawal.
According to Adakabre Frimpong Manso who had similar experience when he wanted to purchase fuel via momo transaction in Ejisu complained to the Minister who happens to be the MP for the area.
Hon. John Kumah, react to the complaints that Government Anticipated this in the early stage of introduction of the E-Levy.
The Deputy Finance Minister || Hon. John Kumah ||, however warned these businesses that the earlier they accept to live by the E-levy, the better because it’s criminal to refuse to sell a product or service to someone just because the person wants to pay via momo.
That he wouldn't hesitate to send a tasks force on certain act to deal with business if the reject persist about Mobile Money payment | MoMo |.
