Damongo Senior High School (SHS) final year student is being held by the district police for allegedly stealing a tricycle.
Tuna Police apprehended Seidu Yussif at a police checkpoint in the Savannah region on his way to Wa in the Upper West Region.
Seidu is believed to have confessed to his crime during interrogation.
He claimed that his organization has received numerous requests to pardon Seidu, who is preparing for his final exams.
DSP Hessey, however, stated that the suspect will be brought before the Bole Magistrate Court as a deterrent to others.
