Late Saturday, the singer revealed on Instagram that after he landed in Italy for a gig, the promoter did not follow through on his (promoter's) part of the agreement.
Davido is well-known for the fact that the show promoter provided him hundreds of tickets but refused to pay him for the performance.
The artist described his troubles and efforts to make it to the event, warning the promoter not to take his "skill and hard work for granted."
"Every day, we overwork our bodies, sweat and tears to stay up and provide amazing events for our fans, only for people to take our craft and hard work for granted," Davido said.
Despite the fact that he travels by private jet most of the time, the Champion Sound crooner had to take three connecting flights to get to Italy due to logistical issues.
"I fly personal 90% of the time," he continued, "but we couldn't secure a touchdown permit on time due to logistical issues."
"I was so determined to get here that I even booked three connecting flights." We come here, and the promoter hasn't kept as much of the settlement as he should have.
"He has sold hundreds of tickets, but refuses to pay me!" Normally, if there isn't any stability, there isn't much of a show.
"I've been waiting for cash or a wire for the past four hours at the hotel...nothing!"
"How could you sell seven thousand tickets yet you don't have my balance, you fraud?" Davido asked the performance promoter. "Entertainment havoc."
The musician stated that he understands how people go out of their way to pay for his shows, which is why he would perform at the event.
"I know how many people came to see me on their last day!" As a result, I'm going to do the show!!" Davido declared.
