The shoplifting event occurred at Airstrip, a suburb of Wa in the Upper West Region, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, and the girl was apprehended by the Regional Police Command.
The police detained this 18-year-old female named Arahia Abass for stealing nine (9) goats, two (2) sheep, and a black 110 Luojia motorcycle with the registration number M-21-UW 2379.
Meanwhile, the police have encouraged anyone who has lost their animals or motorcycle to contact the station officer at the Municipal police station for identification and further action.
Following a tip, the suspect was apprehended by the Upper West Regional Police Command on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, about 7:00 a.m.
The suspect, together with the evidence, has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The Regional Police Command urged the general people to continue cooperating with the police in their efforts to uncover criminal activity.
According to a report by AdomOnline, the command issued the following statement;
“The public is also reminded to contact the Police on emergency numbers 0299204110, 0299204126, 18555, 191, and 112 for swift intervention by the Police to minimize the occurrence of criminal activities,” the Police added.
